Himachal Govt committed for the
welfare of employees
Shimla November 06, 2011
Secretary Finance, Sh. Srikant Baldi said here
today that a meeting was held under the chairpersonship of Chief Secretary,
Smt. Rajwant Sandhu yesterday, in which agenda of the meeting did not contain
any issues regarding pay scales and allowances of the employees of the State
Government.
Shri Baldi said that the news appeared in section of press that Himachal would not give the pay scales to its employees on the analogy of Punjab Government, was misleading.
He said that the meeting which was called yesterday by Chief Secretary had agenda items pertaining to the share of State Government in projects being run by Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) and matter regarding raising of developmental loan. He said that question does not arise of discussing scale of employees and allowances onPunjab
pattern, as there was no such agenda. He appealed to the employees not to get
mislead by such news.
As per the welfare of the employees of the State Government was concerned, he said that the interests of the employees was dear to the State Government and the Government was committed for welfare of employees in near future as well.
The news papers had reported that the meeting in which the said decision was taken was attended by Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Shri Ajay Mittal and Principal Secretary, Industries, Shri Ajay Tiyagi, whereas both the above mentioned officers were not present in Shimla. Therefore, it was evident that the news was not based as facts, said he.
